Description

 

GTEM, Grid Tie Energy Monitor board, based on an ESP32 WROOM and designed for a Home Automation system to monitor the mains supply using the on-board ATM90E26 Energy Monitor device.

Power for the board may either be provided via the Micro USB (for flashing, debugging etc.), and/or via an AC terminal block / solder pad, for normal operation.  DC input has a range of 7V, through to 15V maximum.

Low voltage AC input (4-12V), is normally fed via the terminal block (not populated), or you may optionally solder the power supply cable tails directly to the PCB.  Examples of a suitable Low Voltage 4 to 12V AC power supplies are bell transformers such as the TR7, Byron Din Rail, or DATA01A TransformerThese may vary in different countries but local sourcing should be straight forward.

Options

An I2C 2.54mm header is provided in the middle of the board, which will allow an optional OLED display (such as a SSD1306 I2C), to be directly mounted / connected on the board.  OLED not included.

An optional CT clamp maybe plugged into the board such as the popular split-core YHDC SCT-013-000 (using a standard 3.5mm mono jack plug).  CT not included.

 

The GTEM board is suppled fully tested.  You will require to flash your specific code from our examples.
