Just a reminder that our CAT24 on-line conference is happening this Saturday starting at 10am – the program is as follows:
After Martin G4FKK welcoming everyone the speakers will be:
10:00 – Portsdown Developments – Dave, G8GKQ. Dave will bring us all up to date with the latest Portsdown developments and demonstrate some of the extremely useful facilities available on what is much more than a DATV transmitter!
11:00 – Michael, EA7KIR. Michael is a very keen and capable ‘home brewer’ of all sorts of electronic gadgetry and will be showing his DATV transmitter and receiver and discussing his methods of design, programming and construction.
12:00 – Behind the scenes of CAT24 with David G7URP & Tammy M0TC
13:00 – Tom, ZR6TG. Tom will be updating us on his well-known Open Tuner software, showing its capabilities and how to integrate it with PicoTune which has largely replaced the original BATC Minitioune hardware.
14:00 – Noel, G8GTZ. Noel will bring us up to date news on HamTV and how to receive ATV pictures from the International Space Station once transmissions start.
There will be Q&A sessions after each talk.
The conference will be streamed live on the BATC streamer here: https://batc.org.uk/live/cat24 starting at 9:45.
We will also be streaming live on the BATC YouTube channel https://youtube.com/live/jpjcvoFpA68
It is hoped that the presentations will also be relayed on QO-100 and BATC would like to give a huge thank you to Tammy and David for doing all the production of CAT24 – there’s a lot more goes on behind the scenes than we all imagine!!
